Palace on Wheels Tariff

Palace on Wheels fare is provided below for your kind perusal. The cost mentioned is per person per day basis. The inclusions and exclusions in the Palace on Wheels prices are mentioned in detail in the general information page. These rates and charges of Palace on Wheels are valid till April 2013. Off season cost is applicable for month April and September every year.

Terms & Conditions

  • Children less than 5 years can travel on 10% of the tariff without bed. Half fare (of the total cost) for    children between 5 and 12 years of age. Age proof of children at the time of issuance of tickets is to    be furnished.
  • A surcharge of 10% to be levied on all Christmas(25th December) and New Year(1st January)    packages.
  • Service Tax @ 2.58% will be levied on the tarrif .
  • In addition to the tariff, USD 15 per pax will be charged against the payment of commercial taxes.
  • Tariff is subject to change without prior information.

Inclusions/Exclusions
The Palace on Wheels Tariff includes the following:
Travel, catering, conducted sightseeing, entrance fee at monuments/parks/palaces, cultural programs, camel ride at Jaisalmer, boat ride at Udaipur, rickshaw ride at Bharatpur
The Palace on Wheels Tariff does not include:
Drinks, tips, laundry, telephone calls, video camera fees, business car facilities, liquor and other items of personal nature.
Booking Policy
In case of fully independent travelers (FITs)
    • 20% of ticket value at the time of confirming the booking
    • Remaining 80% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure
In case of Groups
    • 50% of ticket value at the time of confirming the booking.
    • Remaining 50% of ticket value 75 days prior to departure.
Cancellation Policy

The cancellation of tour must be intimated by Fax/email/snail mail to The Palaces on Wheels. The refund rates to be based on the number of days left for the departure of the train:
In case of FITs
    • 60 days before departure - 95% of ticket value will be returned
    • 30-59 days before departure - 80% of ticket value will be returned
    • Less than 30 days before departure - 0% of ticket value will be returned
In case of Groups
    • 60 days before departure - 90% of ticket value will be returned
    • 0 to 59 days before departure - 0% of ticket value will be returned
